Crazy to think that two years ago today we had were photographing this little guys parents wedding. Its amazing to see how much can change in just a short time.
I think the 6 month portrait session has to be one of my favourite sessions, they are just so proud of how they can sit up, crawl and in general they think they are hilarious and I kind of have to agree with them they really are pretty funny. I am looking forward to seeing him at his 1 year session.
We are so excited to share with you that Tina Weltz was just awarded the 2014 Photographer of the Year Award for all of Ontario for the second year in a row!! It is an amazing acheivement to reach this level of success among her peers and to win this title back to back is outstanding.
Tina was in Toronto this past weekend attending the PPOC-Ontario regional conference and awards banquet when the finalists and winners were announced, below is her full winning submission.
Today marks the 11th day of the 11th month and at the 11th hour we salute our veterans for their couragest efforts. Some laid down their lives to give us the freedom we call home in Canada. They defended our Nation and gave us and future generations the ability to become whoever they wanted.
I am sometimes surprised in the way we react to the men and women that gave so much. Today is a day to honour them and yet we give actors/actresses and rock stars more attention. When is the last time you gave a standing ovation to the heroes in Canada? Please take the time today to remember, as if it wasn’t for the brave individuals that gave everything they could to defend us we would be living in a very different world
The sacrifices of yesterday ensured the freedom of tomorrow. Today, remember
Mark and Andrea had the perfect day for a wedding on the ski hills of Chicopee on Sunday, we had a wee bit of rain just as the outdoor ceremony ended, but otherwise a great last weekend of summer!
These two are an amazing couple and made sure their close friends and family where involved in their special day. A truly touching moment was when they had their grandmothers sign their marriage license. What a great way to start their new journey, here is a sneak peak of their day:
As many of you know, August is one of my favourite months to photograph. There is just something about this month that makes me want to be outside creating portraits 24/7.
We have had the joy of working with some amazing families this summer and this family was no exception. It truly is an honour to create family portraits for people and this experience was even more special as mom created a whole evening out for the family to celebrate birthdays and included this surprise portrait session.
We still have a few spots left open if you want to book your portrait before the school year starts.
What a busy morning in the studio! We had a couple of our Bebe clients in and then finished off with our newest little one, just 6 days old and a perfect little boy to photograph. He slept through his whole shoot and only felt the need to pee on us after we were finished!
Here is a sneak peak at todays newborn session!
I can’t believe we are already into August, it has to be one of my favourite months to shoot, so I will be enjoying these long warm nights (well hopefully the warm part comes soon) while they last.
Meg and Doug are an amazing couple and I have had the joy of knowing them for a couple of years now, they will be tying the knot this coming January. I will be standing up with them as one of their bridesmaids, so this means for the first time in a while I will not be behind the lens at a wedding. My amazing side kick Danielle Wilson who works with me on almost all weddings will have the pleasure of capturing their day. Last night the two of us got to work together with Meg and Doug and had a blast in Elora and some random fields. Here is one of my favourite images from their session:
We have been really busy this past month working with families to update and create their portraits to hang in their homes and to share with family and friends.
I love working in the studio, but there is just something about outdoor portraits that are my favourite. I don’t know if it is the challenge of a new location & the ever changing lighting, or just the relaxed environment and interaction with the family members, but I can honestly say I would photograph families all day long.
Call the Studio for some awesome outdoor portrait specials coming up in the month of August!
It has been a busy month at GrandRiver hospital, we have seen a whole bunch of little ones here in the studio! Here is a quick look at Mateah, she was thinking she needed to be awake for all of her photos, but thankfully she eventually closed those tiny little eyes for a few.
There is just nothing like starting your day with a newborn portrait session. I had the pleaser to photograph the new addition to the Wideman family today. Pam is a fellow photographer and good friend, it is always so much fun to work with other photographers. Little Fiona was perfect and might have kept trying to stay awake the whole time but we were able to work our magic and have her sleep for a little bit. Here is a sneak peek from her portrait session today.
