I just love photographing maternity portraits and there is nothing better then being able to be outside on a warm fall evening. Kevin and Brandi where good sports heading into the random field and fighting with thistles and bugs but the result was totally worth the work.
I can’t wait to meet their little bundle of joy in the coming weeks!!
You might be seeing a few newborn pop up on the blog in the coming weeks we seems to be having a baby boom here at Calla Studio. This little munchkin came all the way from London, Ontario for his big debut.
This little guy was to arrive in the later part of June, however he sure didn’t think that was exceptable so he arrived a month early to check out this big world. But he didn’t seem to have any interest in what was happening here in the studio and slept through the shoot like an angel.
This adorable little hungry caterpillar outfit was handcrafted but his talented aunt.
I know everyone has been patiently waiting for the arrival of Erika’s baby, well today we had the pleasure of photographing this little guys newborn portraits!! We are so excited to welcome the new addition to the Calla Studio family and happy to report that mom,dad and baby are doing well. Rory made his big entrance on August 15th and weighted in at 10lbs 1oz, we are feeling pretty lucky to be part of this little guys life and glad we could capture his first moments for family and friends to treasure for years to come.
It has been a very busy fall capturing all the amazing families outside in the beautiful fall colours, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been keeping busy with newborns in the studio as well. We had one of our first newborn fall portraits this past week with this little one and her older brother. They were both amazing, I have to give props to big brother for hanging out with us during her session, it can be a long time for a 3 year old to sit still but he thought the big open studio was the perfect place to play with his monster trucks.
We have some expecting mothers waiting for their little ones to arrive, so I am sure you will see more newborns on the blog in the coming weeks.
It is a real treat to work in a small town when you get to meet and work with other business owners. Barney and Adrienne are the proud owners of Pinacle Health and Fitness (pinaclehealthandfitness.com) here in Elmira and Milverton, Ontario. I recently had the pleasure of taking their new little girls first photographs, she was just a wee little thing at two weeks old, but perfect for her portrait session.
I love this image of her and her elephant, they are both brand new to the world and will spend the next year exploring together. It is always touching to see these special stuffed animals with them throughout their first year, they never look like this again after all they go through with their little companions!
There is just something magical about a newborn baby. We are always excited to see all of our clients, but getting the chance to meet our newest clients and the honour of taking their first portraits is just so special to us. We had the pleasure of working with this precious little girl recently and she must have enjoyed her time with us, because all she wanted to do was smile. We love newborn photography but can’t wait to see her again soon as we document her first year.
The weather is finally turning around and we have been able to get outside for some spring portraits! It is always fun to watch our little clients grow throughout their first year. I love photographing them between 6-9 months as they are learning to sit up, walk, and starting to grow into the little toddler they will soon become. Here is a peek at our latest 9 month old, he had about a million different expressions for me!
We have had the pleasure to photograph so many wonderful babies through the beginning of this New Year. This perfect little girl arrived in January to a thrilled big brother who just thinks her is the best. I have had the pleasure to photograph her big brother through his first year and honoured to do that same for her, love being part of their lives and capturing their precious moments.
It can be a challenge to get everyone ready for newborn portraits within the first 10 days of birth but there is no better time to capture this amazing stage of life. Newborns grow and change so quickly in the first couple of weeks it can be hard to capture all those little stages. When you schedule this portrait session you will feel overwhelmed and stressed out but when you look at your images and see the beautiful little baby you created it will be all worth it.
How much fun is it to have my last portrait session before Christmas be of this sweet little baby boy! We have some amazing clients this year and I am so thankful for each and everyone.
This little guy was just an angel and slept for the whole session and didn’t even pee on me!! Merry Christmas to everyone enjoy this little angels face.
As we get closer to Christmas we seem to be seeing a bunch of new little babies arrive here at the studio for their first portraits. I just couldn’t wait to share this little one with her tiny little smile that came out as she was sleeping away. We have several other little ones arrving in the studio next week, so stay tuned to see them as well!
