Look at this little cutie he just turned 1 at the end of May. I love being able to capture and create precious memories like this for families to look back at in years. Like every 1yr old it is an entertaining portrait session as they are so busy exploring this big world that think we are crazy to want them to sit still for a photograph, but we have some tricks up our sleeves and have no problem getting some good belly laughs from him.
I can’t believe that Calla Studio is celebrating its 10th anniversary! I can’t believe how time just fly’s by when you are doing something you love. As this is a huge milestone for us one we will be celebrating throughout the whole year. We have some exciting promotions for clients and a few other fun items. Make sure you check out to see what we have going on and if you want to be part of the celebrations.
Spring is here and so are dance photographs! The Calla Studio team has been working with Carousel Dance Studio for over 15 years now. We always look forward to seeing return dancers and the theme of their end of year show. Here is a little peek from rehearsals!
We rang in a new year at Calla Studio and we celebrated this little guys 1st year portrait at the same time! I always find it crazy how quickly a year can fly by, I can’t image how a mom feels as they watch their little one grow up.
I am honoured every time I get to work with new and returning clients, it’s amazing to be part of their lives and capture special moments for them to share with family and friends.
We would like to thank all of our clients for a wonderful year and wish you and your family a Merry Christmas! We look forward to what 2015 will bring. See you in the New Year!
I know we are all sad to see that little white stuff when we woke up this past weekend but don’t worry there is still lots of beautiful colours outside to enjoy. It has been an amazing fall for portraits, I love working with all my clients but there is just something about playing in the leaves that is so much fun when you are a kid so why not enjoy them during our fall kids portraits! This little one is getting bigger every year and today celebrates her 6th birthday! Thanks for letting us be apart of the family can’t wait till next year.
It’s been a great summer here at the studio, we’ve had some amazing families in for their portraits. I particularly love working with new families, they are sometimes hesitant when it comes to portraits, especially with young children, but there really is no better time to capture your family life as they grow.
Family portraits don’t have to be in a studio or formal anymore, we want to capture your family naturally in your everyday life. We had the pleasure of heading out to this family’s farm recently and I have to say, what a dream location. I know when most clients look around at their surroundings they don’t think it’s the best location, but to photographers there is always a unique spot that we don’t get to see everyday to take advantage of for great portraits.
Summer time is quickly coming to an end but our summer family portraits have been amazing this year. I know we all wanted a hot summer after that long cold winter but I can’t say I didn’t mind being out on those perfect evenings photographing all of our amazing clients.
I have known Amy for such a long time I don’t dare say how many years because then you will know how old we are! These two this munchkins are so fun to work with, Lucy always makes be crack up and Cohen has something new to tell me every time I come to see them. Watching clients grow and change throughout their lives it truly a real honour and one I won’t take for granted.
The apple blossoms are out so spring portraits at Calla Studio are underway. We are taking full advantage of this amazing spring weather! These three little ladies are a handful of fun that I always look forward to photographing. I can’t believe the youngest is almost 1 year old, time sure flies.
I am never sure how children can have so much energy I am completely exhausted after an hour of running around and chasing them around and I think I have the easy part. I always feel bad for my assistant as they have to make sure the reflector is in the right place, the clothing is perfect and then getting the perfect expression. Even after listing all those tasks I wouldn’t change a think I just love my job and the amazing clients I get to work with.
Are you looking to update your family portrait or needing to have your children photographed? There is no better time than spring and summer, when the weather is beautiful and we can take full advantage of our beautiful landscapes.
What a busy morning in the studio! We had a couple of our Bebe clients in and then finished off with our newest little one, just 6 days old and a perfect little boy to photograph. He slept through his whole shoot and only felt the need to pee on us after we were finished!
Here is a sneak peak at todays newborn session!
